Easter Tree started with a line that Aaron wrote that was subversive, at least to us.
“Oh god, answer your cell phone!”
It was an interesting line comparing God and its place in our technology driven world and also a phrase that we’ve each said when thinking about someone we care about. So we took the approach and walked a fine line trying never to make a choice if Easter Tree is a religious song or a love song
In the end it turned out to the best songs on our first EP.
